The Bluths

George Bluth Sr.

George Sr. converts to Judaism in season one of the show, then shows no religious ties, before converting to Christianity. He is the only Bluth that shows any amount of faith throughout the show's run. George is mocked by members of his family for discovering his faith, in particular his wife, Lucille, who calls his series of religious motivational videos, Caged Wisdom, "Idiot videotapes". This shows how areligious the Bluth family is.
The Bluth family, the main characters of Arrested Development, are a heavily flawed family without much morals or ethics. Throughout the show, they are most often presented as being areligious but the characters George Bluth Sr. and George-Oscar Bluth (G.O.B) have both been tied to religion at one point or another.

The Bluth family experience a fall from grace or "fall of man" in the show. The plot of the show is the patriarch, George Bluth Sr., running the business and getting into some trouble with the law after defrauding the company's investors, among other things. The Bluth's go from being a wealthy family to having the patriarch in prison and having a company that is barely getting by. This is a fall of man because the Bluth family goes from a state of perceived innocence and luxury to guilt and their public image is completely ruined.

The Bluth's lack of faith, and dismissal of those who practice, highlights their lack of morality. George is met with derision when he finds his faith while in prison, and their lack of respect for religion, particularly G.O.B.'s is a perfect example of this.

G.O.B.

G.O.B has a far more complex relationship with religion throughout the show's run. He begins the show being areligious like the rest of his family, until he strikes up a relationship with an unknown "religious girlfriend" that turns out to be Ann Veal, the former girlfriend of his nephew George Michael. G.O.B. is involved with Ann until the fourth season where he is transformed into the "Christian Magician", which is simply an act.
